Galveston County Task Force Executes 21 Search Warrants in Illegal Game Room Investigation

GALVESTON COUNTY, Texas – A multi-agency law enforcement operation targeted alleged illegal gambling operations across Galveston County and neighboring jurisdictions Monday, resulting in the execution of 21 search warrants tied to an ongoing organized crime and money laundering investigation.
According to the Galveston County Organized Crime Task Force, investigators executed the warrants on June 1 as part of a long-term probe into alleged organized criminal activity connected to illegal game room operations in La Marque and surrounding communities.
Authorities said seven search warrants were served at game room locations:
- Gold Chest, 5307 Interstate 45, La Marque
- Pig Pen, 5309 Interstate 45, La Marque
- TJ’s, 4320 Interstate 45, La Marque
- Rusty’s, 228 Lake Road, La Marque
- Purple Building, 1002 Main Street, La Marque
- Double Diamond, 116 State Highway 3, La Marque
- 24/7, 22430 West Highway 6, Alvin
Investigators also executed two related search warrants in Fort Bend County, including a residence linked to the owner and operator of the Gold Chest game room and a warehouse believed to be used for storing and distributing illegal gambling machines.
The locations searched included:
- 202 Industrial Boulevard, Suite 806, Sugar Land
- A residence in the 5200 block of Kendall Ridge Lane, Sugar Land
In addition, detectives executed 12 search warrants at various financial institutions as part of the money laundering component of the investigation.
Members of the task force, along with the Galveston County Sheriff’s Office Major Crimes Unit and Crime Scene Unit, remained at multiple locations Monday conducting investigative operations.
Authorities have not yet released information regarding arrests, criminal charges, or evidence seized during the operation. Officials said those details will be announced in a future update as the investigation progresses.
The task force credited several agencies for assisting in the coordinated operation, including the Harris County Sheriff’s Office, Fort Bend County Sheriff’s Office, Galveston Police Department, League City Police Department, and the Galveston County District Attorney’s Office.
