Austin Police Department Issues Alert on Vehicle Burglaries in City Parks

AUSTIN, TX – The Austin Police Department (APD) is addressing a rise in vehicle burglaries across the Austin Park system, a trend impacting both residents and visitors.

In recent weeks, APD patrol units and investigators have made progress in apprehending suspects tied to these crimes, with several arrests already completed. Still, authorities are seeking the public’s assistance in locating multiple individuals with outstanding warrants connected to burglaries, theft, and related fraudulent activity.

The following suspects remain wanted:

  • Jamila Westmoreland, 28 – Theft
  • Kishayla Taylor, 26 – Fraud
  • Destiny Thomas, 23 – Engaging in Organized Criminal Activity
  • Armynie White, 22 – Aggravated Assault with a Deadly Weapon, Credit Card Abuse
  • Tyrrion Titus, 27 – Engaging in Organized Criminal Activity, Probation Violation
  • Deja Moore, 25 – Debit/Credit Card Abuse
  • Trayvon Swain, 26 – Probation Violation: Aggravated Assault with a Deadly Weapon

APD warns the public not to approach these individuals if spotted in city parks. Instead, call 9-1-1 immediately.

Authorities also shared safety tips for park visitors to help reduce the risk of vehicle burglaries:

  • Avoid leaving valuables inside your vehicle, or secure them in the trunk.
  • Stay alert to your surroundings while in parking areas.
  • Report suspicious activity right away.
