Woman Arrested in Murder of Teen Found Deceased in a Bayou on Nance Street
Charges have been filed against 24-year-old Shania Laneice Turner in connection with the death of 18-year-old Tierra Horn, whose body was discovered at 1900 Nance Street on Friday, January 5, 2024 around 5:40 p.m. Turner faces a murder charge in the 232nd State District Court.
Horn was identified as the victim on January 10th by the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences.
Houston Police officers, investigators, and Harris County Precinct 6 Constable deputies found Ms. Horn’s body near the bayou during a search near downtown Houston. The teen was pronounced deceased at the scene. Her autopsy determined that Horn’s death was a homicide.
Following an investigation, Turner was identified as the suspect in the case. She was arrested on Thursday, January 11th and subsequently booked into the Harris County Jail.
