Two Texas 10 Most Wanted Offenders Captured: Fugitive and Sex Offender Arrested in San Antonio and Houston

The Texas Department of Public Safety (DPS) announced that two individuals from the Texas 10 Most Wanted list are back in custody.

Dewarren Donta Knowles, 36, was arrested on August 17 in San Antonio. The arrest was made by the U.S. Marshals Lone Star Fugitive Task Force, DPS Special Agents, and San Antonio Police Department officers working with the Texas Anti-Gang (TAG) Center. Knowles had been wanted since February 2024, following a warrant from Harris County for sexual assault of a child. He is associated with the Tree Top Piru Bloods gang and has prior convictions for assault causing bodily injury to a family member, theft of property, and making a terroristic threat.

Antioneo Ryen Sims, 43, was taken into custody on August 27 in Houston. His arrest followed tips provided to DPS Special Agents and Troopers. Sims was previously convicted in 2008 for the sexual assault of a 14-year-old girl and served three years in a Texas Department of Criminal Justice (TDCJ) prison. He also has multiple convictions for failure to register as a sex offender. Sims had been wanted since January 2024 for failing to comply with sex offender registration requirements. A Crime Stoppers reward will be paid in connection with Sims’ arrest.
