Nerrick Natron Henderson (Wanted) and Zachary Dewayne Scott (Arrested)

Charges have been filed against two suspects in connection with a shooting incident that occurred on Sunday, February 18th, at 8000 Miley Street in the Settegast area.

Zachary Dewayne Scott, 34, is currently in custody facing charges of three counts of aggravated assault with a deadly weapon and unlawful carrying of a weapon by a felon. The charges were filed in the 262nd State District Court. The other suspect, Nerrick Natron Henderson, 45, is not in custody and is also charged with three counts of aggravated assault with a deadly weapon in the same court.

The suspects are accused of shooting a 32-year-old man, who was critically injured and transported to an area hospital. However, doctors have stated that the victim is expected to survive.

According to Houston Police Officers, the incident occurred following a physical altercation between the male victim and the suspects. Henderson allegedly fired shots at the victim’s vehicle as it was leaving the area, while Scott pursued the victim’s vehicle in his own vehicle.

The victim’s vehicle was discovered in the 5000 block of North Wayside Drive, approximately a mile from the Miley Street location, with several bullet holes. Three individuals were found inside the vehicle. The victim, who was the driver, sustained at least one gunshot wound. A juvenile male passenger, aged 9, sustained a minor injury from glass shards, while an adult male passenger, aged 32, was uninjured.

Scott was apprehended on Monday (Feb. 19) and subsequently treated for non-life-threatening injuries at a hospital before being booked into the Harris County Jail. Henderson remains wanted by authorities.
