Triple Fatal Shooting Spree Spans Sugar Land and Southwest Houston, Ends in Suspect’s Suicide

HOUSTON, TX – A shooting rampage that began in Sugar Land and continued into southwest Houston left three men dead Wednesday afternoon, including the suspected gunman.
Houston police say officers were called around 1:30 p.m. to a business at 13330 Fondren Road, where they found a 51-year-old man shot multiple times inside. Moments later, another man, 35, was discovered shot to death in the parking lot of a nearby business at 13479 Fondren Road. Investigators believe the second victim was a witness to the initial shooting.
As police began to investigate those two connected scenes, another call came in from 8000 Creekbend Drive, where officers found a 42-year-old man dead inside a vehicle from what appeared to be a self-inflicted gunshot wound. Both the man and the vehicle matched the description of the suspect involved in the Fondren Road shootings.
Detectives later learned the suspect was also wanted in connection with a fatal shooting that had occurred earlier the same day in Sugar Land.
The identities of the three deceased men are pending confirmation by the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences.
