Three Texas 10 Most Wanted Offenders Captured
In recent weeks, three individuals from Texas’ 10 Most Wanted list have been apprehended and are now back in custody. Chad King, Brandon Luera, and Lonnie Brown were arrested on November 29, November 27, and December 5, respectively. Rewards from Crime Stoppers will be provided for the captures of Chad King and Brandon Luera.
Chad Everett King, 34, was located and arrested in St. Louis, Missouri, by the U.S. Marshals Lone Star Fugitive Task Force in collaboration with the U.S. Marshals Metropolitan Fugitive Task Force. The El Paso Police Department Crimes Against Persons Division and the El Paso County Sheriff’s Office also played a role in the multi-agency fugitive investigation. King, previously convicted in November 2018 for aggravated assault with a deadly weapon and unlawful possession of a firearm, had outstanding warrants since December 2022 for aggravated kidnapping with a deadly weapon, aggravated kidnapping – sexual abuse, and six counts of aggravated sexual assault.
Brandon Neal Luera, 40, was apprehended in Lubbock by members of the U.S. Marshals North Texas Fugitive Task Force and DPS Special Agents. Luera, convicted in 2002 for aggravated sexual assault, had been wanted since April 2023 for a Parole Violation warrant and a June 2023 warrant from Lubbock County for failure to register as a sex offender.
Lonnie Matthew Brown, 30, was taken into custody in Dallas by the U.S. Marshals North Texas Fugitive Task Force, DPS Special Agents, and the Dallas County Sheriff’s Office. Brown, convicted in 2012 for indecency with a child by sexual contact, had been wanted since September 2023 for failure to comply with sex offender registration requirements.
