Three Arrested in La Marque Aggravated Robbery Case; Firearms Seized

The La Marque Police Department (LMPD) has arrested three suspects in connection with an aggravated robbery that occurred in the parking lot of Mike’s Convenience Store, located in the 2300 block of Cedar Drive, La Marque.

On the evening of the robbery, three males approached the victims in the store parking lot. After a brief interaction, the suspects held the victims at gunpoint and robbed them. The suspects then fled the scene in a white passenger vehicle.

Following the robbery, LMPD Detectives identified Francisco Quintana, 25, of Houston, as a suspect. He was apprehended during a traffic stop with the assistance of Harris County Precinct 4 Deputy Constables, which resulted in the seizure of one firearm. Quintana was charged with Aggravated Robbery.

LMPD’s investigation led to the execution of a search warrant at an apartment in the 7000 block of Schuller Road, Houston. With the help of the Houston Police Department SWAT team, the warrant was served, and four individuals were detained. The search also yielded five additional firearms and a significant amount of ammunition.

Among those arrested was 21-year-old Hugo Tabora, also of Houston, who was charged with Aggravated Robbery. Tabora was also wanted for Aggravated Battery out of Florida. Another suspect, 22-year-old Maleek Hall, also from Houston, was arrested and charged with Aggravated Robbery.

Grace Crossland, 20, of Houston, was arrested on an outstanding warrant for Aggravated Burglary from Tennessee. One other female was detained but later released without charges.

LMPD commended the Criminal Investigation Division for their prompt and effective response to the robbery. The department also thanked the Crime Suppression Unit, Patrol Division, Houston Police Department SWAT team, and Harris County Constable Precinct 4 for their invaluable support in the investigation and arrests.
