Thief Caught in the Act After Breaking into Cars in North Spring
On December 15, 2023, Deputy Power from the Harris County Constable Mark Herman’s Office responded to a report of a suspicious male potentially breaking into vehicles in the 23800 block of Beaverwood Drive in North Spring. Upon arrival, deputies discovered the male suspect inside a vehicle, actively stealing property.
The suspect, identified as 18-year-old Autherion Sherman, was apprehended. During the apprehension, Sherman admitted to breaking into cars in an attempt to secure funds for Christmas. Subsequent investigation revealed that he had burglarized another vehicle just before law enforcement arrived on the scene.
Sherman was arrested and subsequently booked into the Harris County Jail. He now faces charges of two counts of burglary of a motor vehicle.
