Suspects Apprehended in Progressed Theft Attempt at Houston Business, Face Charges for Property Damage

On January 19, 2024, deputies from Constable Mark Herman’s Office responded to a theft in progress in the 16700 block of the North Freeway. Upon arrival, deputies discovered two suspects attempting to break into a business.

The suspects, identified as a 15-year-old juvenile male and 31-year-old Sidney Crawford, were detained. The juvenile had an open Felony Warrant for Unauthorized Use of a Motor Vehicle, while Crawford had an open warrant for Criminal Mischief. Further investigation revealed that the duo caused over $6,000.00 worth of property damage.

Crawford was arrested and booked into the Harris County Jail for the open warrant and charged with Criminal Mischief. His bond was set at $2,000.00 out of the 486th District Court.

The juvenile was arrested and booked into the Harris County Juvenile Detention Center for the open warrant and charged with Felony Criminal Mischief.
