Two Teens Arrested in Stolen Car Stop with Firearm Possession on Jones Road

On January 19, 2024, deputies from Constable Mark Herman’s Office conducted a routine traffic stop on a vehicle in the 11300 block of Jones Road. During the stop, it was discovered that the driver was a 16-year-old juvenile male, and the passenger was identified as 17-year-old Sirrandell Dynes.

Upon further investigation, authorities found that the vehicle had been reported stolen to the Houston Police Department. Additionally, it was revealed that Dynes, the passenger, was in possession of a firearm.

Following the discovery, Dynes was arrested and booked into the Harris County Jail. He faces charges of Unlawful Carrying of a Weapon, with a bond set at $100.00 out of County Court 10.

The juvenile driver was also taken into custody and booked into the Harris County Juvenile Probation Center. He has been charged with Unauthorized Use of a Motor Vehicle.

The investigation is ongoing.
