Suspect Arrested in Fuqua Street Murder of Woman
A suspect was identified and arrested in the death of a woman found in the 11000 block of Fuqua Street about 3:30 p.m. on April 22.
Derek Fischer, 31, was charged with murder and tampering with evidence in connection to the death of 45-year-old Jennifer Ramirez.
Ramirez died from a gunshot wound, as determined by the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences.
Initially, there were no witnesses or suspects, but further investigation led to Fischer’s identification as the suspect.
On April 27, Fischer was apprehended by HPD Northbelt Patrol Division officers with assistance from the Harris County Sheriff’s Office following information received by homicide detectives.
