Charges have been officially filed against a suspect arrested in connection with the fatal assault of Joseph Jones, 69, whose lifeless body was discovered at 3575 Yellowstone Boulevard around noon on December 21, 2022.

The suspect, identified as Steven Nickerson, 42, is now facing a murder charge in the 177th State District Court. Nickerson, who was already in the Harris County Jail on unrelated charges, was implicated in the death of Joseph Jones.
