Speeding Motorcycle Crashes into rear of Mustang in El Paso, Rider Dead

On the morning of November 27, 2023, El Paso Special Traffic Investigators responded to a tragic incident involving a motorcycle fatality. The initial investigation determined that 19-year-old Jordan Uribe of Horizon was traveling southbound on Loop 375 when a collision occurred with 29-year-old Ramiro Munoz of El Paso.

Munoz, riding a 2019 Harley Davidson motorcycle, collided with the rear of Uribe’s Mustang at a high rate of speed. The impact resulted in Munoz being separated from his motorcycle and sliding across the pavement for several hundred feet. Uribe promptly contacted the police, and Munoz was transported to a local hospital. Munoz did not survive the crash.

The primary contributing factor to the collision was determined to be Munoz’s excessive speed. It was noted that Munoz was not wearing a helmet at the time of the incident. This marks the 75th traffic fatality in El Paso this year, in contrast to 67 at the same time last year. It is noteworthy that fatalities #73 and 74 were handled by the Texas Department of Public Safety.
