El Paso Police Investigate Animal Cruelty Case
On August 1, 2024, the El Paso Police Department’s Animal Cruelty Investigations Unit began an investigation into an animal cruelty incident that occurred at the 8400 block of Gateway West. Preliminary reports indicate that Celine John Octa Hemmingway of Fort Bliss abandoned her dog outside a nearby business. Following the report, Animal Cruelty Investigators confirmed Hemmingway as the registered owner of the dog. She was arrested and booked into the El Paso County Jail with a bond set at $2,500.
