Pasadena Man Dies After Drive-By Shooting on Burke Road, Police Investigating

On October 5, 2024, at approximately 3:40 a.m., Pasadena Police received a 911 call reporting a drive-by shooting at 612 Burke Rd. The caller informed dispatch that an adult male had been shot in the chest.

When officers arrived on the scene, they identified the victim as 34-year-old Martin Escareno. Officers provided first aid until an ambulance arrived and then accompanied the ambulance as Escareno was transported to HCA Houston Healthcare Southeast. Despite emergency surgery, Escareno later succumbed to his injuries and was pronounced dead on October 5th.

Pasadena Police Violent Crimes detectives and the Crime Scene Unit responded to the scene to investigate and process evidence. The investigation remains ongoing as detectives continue canvassing the area for leads and witnesses.
