Oak Ridge North Police Officer Arrested for Possessing Child Sexual Assault Material
James Patrick Hosford, a 42-year-old police officer with the City of Oak Ridge North, was arrested on January 8, 2025, following an investigation by the Montgomery County Pct. 3 Constable’s Office. The arrest stems from a CyberTip received in November 2024, which led to the discovery that Hosford possessed multiple videos depicting child sexual assault.
Hosford was apprehended near his residence in The Woodlands, Texas, after a search warrant was executed at his home. He faces ten counts of Possession of Child Pornography, a first-degree felony. Hosford is currently being held at the Montgomery County Jail on a $500,000 bond.
The investigation was supported by the Montgomery County District Attorney’s Office, the Houston Police Department, and the Oak Ridge North Police Department. Constable Ryan Gable emphasized the team’s dedication to identifying and apprehending individuals who exploit children.
