Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office Seeks Assistance in Locating Missing and Endangered Man

Local authorities are actively searching for a missing and endangered individual, Ricky Barnhart, who was last seen at his residence on FM 1485 in New Caney, TX, on January 2, 2024.

At the time of his disappearance, Mr. Barnhart was wearing a red and black flannel shirt and shorts.

The 65-year-old male, with cognitive difficulties, is currently without his medically necessary prescriptions. He stands at a height of 5’6”, weighs 165 pounds, and has blue eyes, brown hair, and a fair complexion. The date of his last contact was January 2, 2024.

UPDATE: On January 9, 2024, Detectives with Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office Homicide and Violent Crimes Division located Ricky Barnhart deceased.

At this time, there does not appear to be any sign of foul play. The circumstances surrounding Ricky’s death are still under investigation
