Convicted Bank Robber on Parole Arrested After Threatening to Shoot Employees at Cypress PNC Bank

CYPRESS, Texas — A man previously convicted of bank robbery and still on parole has been arrested after investigators say he threatened to open fire inside a PNC Bank in northwest Harris County before fleeing with cash.
Samuel Everrett Williams II was arrested October 28, 2026, following a joint investigation involving the Harris County Sheriff’s Office, Texas Department of Public Safety and FBI.
According to investigators, Williams entered the PNC Bank at 14213 Cypress Rose Hill Road in Cypress on Friday, October 23, and demanded money from a teller.
During the robbery, the suspect threatened to pull out a gun and shoot employees inside the bank.
The teller complied with the demand and handed over an undisclosed amount of cash. The robber then fled.
Surveillance Footage and License Plate Readers Lead Detectives to Suspect
Detectives with the Harris County Sheriff’s Office Violent Crimes Division launched an investigation with assistance from state and federal authorities.
Investigators collected surveillance footage from nearby businesses, which helped them identify a white Ford Crown Victoria used by the suspect to arrive at the bank and escape after the robbery.
Using license plate reader technology, detectives traced the vehicle to a residence in Hockley, northwest of Houston.
Investigators subsequently identified Williams as the suspect.
A review of his criminal history revealed that Williams had previously been convicted of bank robbery and was on parole until 2032.
