Houston Police Seek Suspects in Fatal Shooting Incident at Eastland Street

Houston Police have released surveillance photos of a suspect and a person of interest in connection with a fatal shooting that occurred on Monday, October 9, at 6303 Eastland Street around 2:40 p.m.

The suspect, described as a heavy-set black male, fled the scene in a gray 2023 Toyota Camry with Texas license plates TFR2377. Two other unidentified males were also in the vehicle. The victim, a 49-year-old man, was found with multiple gunshot wounds in a convenience store parking lot at the above address.

HPD patrol officers responded to the incident and provided medical assistance to the victim until Houston Fire Department paramedics arrived. The victim was then transported to Ben Taub General Hospital, where he was later pronounced deceased.

Preliminary investigations and evidence gathered from the scene indicated that the victim had engaged in a physical altercation with the male suspect, ultimately resulting in the shooting.

Authorities are urging anyone with information about the incident or the whereabouts of the suspects to come forward. Surveillance photos of the suspect, one of the accompanying males, and the involved vehicle have been released to aid the public in identifying the individuals involved.

The identity of the victim is pending verification by the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences.
