Fugitive on Texas 10 Most Wanted List Apprehended in Mexico for Child-Related Charges

A Texas 10 Most Wanted offender, Iris Iliana Rodriguez, 34, has been apprehended in the State of Jalisco, Mexico, on December 11, 2023. The arrest was made possible through the joint efforts of INTERPOL Mexico, the United States Marshals Service (USMS), and Texas Department of Public Safety (DPS) Criminal Investigations (CID) Special Agents from Laredo.

Rodriguez had been sought since January 2015, following the issuance of warrants in Webb County. The charges against her included three counts of indecency with a child by sexual contact, three counts of harassment, and one count of unlawful restraint. These charges were related to an inappropriate relationship Rodriguez allegedly engaged in with an 11-year-old girl, with the initial contact occurring while she was working as a counselor in Laredo.

A Crime Stoppers reward will be provided in connection with this arrest. The coordinated efforts between law enforcement agencies on both sides of the border led to the successful apprehension of the wanted individual.
