Construction Site Dispute Leads to Stabbing in Los Fresnos

Cameron County Sheriff Deputies responded to a stabbing incident at a residence on the 36000 block of FM 2480, Los Fresnos, Texas, on Wednesday, February 7, 2024, at around 16:00hrs.

Upon arrival, deputies found a 63-year-old male victim with a 42-year-old witness. The victim reported that during construction work, 45-year-old Juan Villarreal, who had been drinking beer, made mistakes. When the victim attempted to correct them,

Villarreal allegedly threatened and stabbed him in the foot.

Sheriff Deputies confirmed the victim’s injury and the witness’s account. Villarreal was arrested and taken to the Carrizales Rucker Detention Center, facing charges of Aggravated Assault with a Deadly Weapon, a 2nd Degree Felony.
