Cedar Park Domestic Disturbance Ends in Deadly Shooting, Suspect Found Deceased

Cedar Park Police responded to a domestic disturbance call on Stapleford Drive at approximately 8:15 p.m. on February 2, 2025. Upon arrival, officers heard gunfire coming from inside the home as family members evacuated, reporting that one individual remained inside and was injured.

Officers entered the residence and found the injured man, immediately initiating life-saving measures. He was pronounced deceased at the scene.

A perimeter was established around the neighborhood as multiple law enforcement agencies, including Central Texas Regional SWAT, Leander Police, the Department of Public Safety (DPS), the Williamson County Sheriff’s Office, and the Austin Police Department helicopter, assisted in the search for the suspect.

At approximately 11:30 p.m., officers located the suspect deceased in a nearby field with an apparent self-inflicted gunshot wound.

The investigation remains ongoing.
