Crash on Eastex Freeway Claims Life of 22-Year-Old Driver

Police are investigating a fatal crash that occurred at 15088 Eastex Freeway (North U.S. Highway 59) on Saturday, January 6, around 1:40 p.m.

The victim, a 22-year-old male, was driving a gray Nissan Titan pickup truck northbound on the freeway.

As he exited at Greens Road, he lost control of the vehicle, causing it to leave the roadway. The truck subsequently collided with a guard rail and a concrete pillar.

Emergency services were dispatched to the scene, and Houston Fire Department paramedics transported the injured male to HCA Houston Healthcare Kingwood. Doctors at the medical facility later pronounced him deceased.

The identity of the victim is currently pending verification by the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences. The investigation into the incident is ongoing.
