Humble Man Accused of Inappropriately Touching Woman After She Refused to Buy Him Beer at Shell Gas Station

HUMBLE, Texas — A 32-year-old man was arrested after allegedly touching a woman inappropriately when she refused to buy him a beer at a Shell gas station in Humble, according to Harris County Precinct 4 Constable Mark Herman’s Office.
Demarcus Bogany, 32, was arrested Tuesday, November 3, 2026, following an assault investigation at a Shell gas station in the 21500 block of Aldine Westfield Road.
Deputies responded to the location after receiving a report of an assault involving a female complainant.
According to investigators, Bogany approached the woman and asked her to purchase him a beer.
When she refused, Bogany allegedly grabbed her inappropriately without her consent.
Following their investigation, deputies took Bogany into custody.
He was transported to the Harris County Jail and charged with indecent assault, a Class A misdemeanor under Texas law.
Bogany’s bond was set at $7,500 in Harris County Criminal Court at Law No. 6.
Constable Mark Herman condemned the alleged incident, emphasizing that refusing someone’s request should never result in unwanted physical contact.
“No one should ever be subjected to unwanted physical contact simply for saying no,” Herman said. “We take these allegations seriously and will continue working to ensure those who violate the safety and dignity of others are held accountable.”
