Angleton High School Teacher Arrested After Yearlong Investigation

ANGLETON, Texas – An Angleton High School teacher has been arrested following a nearly yearlong investigation that began with allegations of inappropriate relationships involving students.

Holly Schroedter Adams, 41, was taken into custody Tuesday, Aug. 25, after a Brazoria County grand jury returned indictments stemming from an investigation that began in August 2025.

Adams, a history teacher at Angleton High School, had worked for the school district since August 2018.

The Brazoria County Sheriff’s Office said it first received information on Aug. 28, 2025, concerning allegations that Adams had inappropriate relationships with students.

Investigators subsequently launched what the sheriff’s office described as a lengthy and intensive investigation. Detectives interviewed numerous current and former students and examined evidence connected to the allegations.

After nearly a year of investigative work, the case was presented to a Brazoria County grand jury.

Grand Jury Returns Three Charges

On Aug. 25, 2026, the sheriff’s office received indictments resulting from the investigation.

Adams was arrested and charged with one count of Tampering with Physical Evidence, a third-degree felony, and two counts of Purchasing/Furnishing Alcohol to a Minor, both Class A misdemeanors.

The charges announced by authorities do not include an improper relationship between educator and student charge. The sheriff’s office did not provide additional details about the evidence Adams is accused of tampering with, the circumstances surrounding the alcohol-related charges, or whether the minors involved were students.

Adams was booked into the Brazoria County Detention Center on bonds totaling $26,000. She posted bond and was released later Tuesday.
