Man Arrested After Brother Found Dead With Severe Head Trauma in Harris County Home

HARRIS COUNTY, Texas — A 68-year-old man has been charged with murder after his brother was found dead inside a home in northwest Harris County, according to the Harris County Sheriff’s Office.

Deputies responded at approximately noon on June 12, 2026, to the 16800 block of Anna Green following reports of a deceased person inside a residence.

Family members told deputies they discovered Hilario Caprille unresponsive in a bathroom and were unsure how he had died or how he ended up there.

Harris County Sheriff’s Office Homicide Unit investigators responded to the scene and determined that Hilario Caprille had suffered severe trauma to the head.

Following an investigation, detectives classified the death as a homicide.

On June 15, members of the Harris County Sheriff’s Office Violent Criminal Apprehension Team arrested 68-year-old Pedro Caprille.

Detectives subsequently charged Pedro Caprille with the murder of his brother, Hilario Caprille.

Authorities have not released a motive in the case, and investigators said the circumstances leading to the killing remain under investigation.
