Wanted Parolee Captured in Jasper After Removing Ankle Monitor

JASPER, Texas — A wanted parolee from the Beaumont area was arrested in Jasper on April 6, 2026, after a coordinated effort between federal, state, and local law enforcement agencies.
24-year-old Anthony Joseph Cascio was taken into custody after authorities determined he had removed his ankle monitor and was on the run. The U.S. Marshals Service requested assistance, prompting Jasper Police to begin tracking leads.
According to officials, officers were able to locate Cascio within approximately three hours of receiving information that he might be in the area. The department’s Flock camera system played a key role in identifying the vehicle he was using and helping officers track his movements.
Cascio was located in the 100 block of East Gibson Street, where officers detained and arrested him without incident.
He was wanted for tampering with an electronic monitoring device and a parole violation issued by the Texas Board of Pardons and Paroles.
Cascio was transported to the Jasper County Correctional Facility and turned over to jail staff.
Authorities said the arrest highlights the collaboration between the Southeast Texas Violent Crime Task Force, the U.S. Marshals Service, and local agencies, as well as the use of technology in locating suspects.
