Large Drug Bust in Texas City Yields Cocaine, PCP, Promethazine and Firearms, One Arrested and One Wanted

TEXAS CITY, Texas — A long-term narcotics investigation led to the seizure of large quantities of drugs, cash and firearms and the filing of multiple felony charges following coordinated raids at two Texas City homes on February 5, 2026.

The Galveston County Organized Crime Task Force, with assistance from the Galveston County Constable’s Office Precinct 1, executed search warrants at residences in the 2600 block of 21st Street North and the 300 block of 9th Street North.

During the searches, investigators recovered approximately 405 grams of cocaine, 365 grams of PCP, 2.5 gallons of promethazine, 5.7 pounds of marijuana and 5.2 grams of THC wax. Authorities also seized U.S. currency and five firearms, one of which was confirmed stolen.

Based on evidence gathered, the Galveston County District Attorney’s Office accepted charges against two individuals.

Keonda Bell, 26, is in custody and faces two counts of Manufacture/Delivery of a Controlled Substance, Penalty Group 1, 400 grams or more, each with a $500,000 bond. She is also charged with Manufacture/Delivery of a Dangerous Drug and Tampering or Fabricating Physical Evidence with Intent to Impair, each carrying a $250,000 bond.

Deatrick Black, 45, is wanted on an active warrant. He is charged with Manufacture/Delivery of a Controlled Substance, Penalty Group 2, 4 grams or more but less than 400 grams, with a $250,000 bond, and Unlawful Possession of a Firearm by a Felon, also with a $250,000 bond.
