Human Trafficking Bust in Jefferson County Leads to 11 Arrests, 2 Victims Rescued

JEFFERSON COUNTY, TX – A coordinated human trafficking operation led by Texas DPS Special Agents this week resulted in 11 arrests and the recovery of two trafficking victims.
The operation targeted individuals involved in human trafficking networks, aiming to disrupt criminal organizations and rescue those being exploited. The rescued victims are now receiving support and services to begin their path to safety and recovery.
Multiple agencies partnered in the operation, including the Texas Highway Patrol, DPS Houston Criminal Investigative Division – Human Trafficking Unit, Beaumont Police, Texas Alcoholic Beverage Commission, FBI, Baytown Police Department, Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office, DPS Victim Support Services, and local non-government organizations such as The Garth House and Embracing Freedom.
Authorities emphasized that ongoing collaborative efforts like this are vital to combat human trafficking, hold perpetrators accountable, and ensure victims receive the care and resources they need.
