El Paso Man Arrested After Stealing Wallet and Using Victim’s Credit Cards

EL PASO, Texas — On August 6, 2025, deputies from the East Montana Patrol Station responded to a theft report at the Circle K in the 12200 block of Eastlake.
A cashier reported that an unknown male reached behind the counter, stole the cashier’s wallet containing cash, multiple debit and credit cards, and personal identification, then fled in a gray Honda Accord.
Investigators reviewed surveillance footage and used license plate reader data to identify the vehicle. Later that day, the victim received alerts about multiple attempted and completed transactions on the stolen cards. Deputies collected video evidence from transaction locations showing the suspect using the cards.
The suspect was identified as 41-year-old Danny Joseph Navarro. Two criminal warrants for Theft of Property and Credit Card Abuse were issued, with a combined bond of $21,000.
On August 7, deputies conducted surveillance that led to Navarro’s arrest. He was booked into the El Paso County Detention Facility.
The El Paso County Sheriff’s Office reaffirmed its commitment to community safety and holding offenders accountable.
