Woman Found Fatally Stabbed at Spring-Area Apartment Complex, Suspect Arrested

SPRING, Texas – A 31-year-old man has been charged with murder after a woman was found fatally wounded inside an apartment in the Spring area early Friday morning.

According to the Harris County Sheriff’s Office, deputies with Harris County Constable Precinct 4 responded to a call for service on May 29 at an apartment complex in the 21800 block of Northcrest Drive near Kuykendahl Road.

When deputies entered an apartment unit, they discovered an unresponsive woman suffering from apparent stab wounds.

The victim, identified as 27-year-old Abriana Hall, was transported to a local hospital, where she was pronounced dead.

While deputies were attempting to provide aid to Hall, they observed a man climbing down from the apartment using a ladder. Authorities detained the man, later identified as Aaron McFarland, born Dec. 7, 1994.

Crime Scene Investigators and homicide detectives with the Harris County Sheriff’s Office responded to process the scene and conduct a follow-up investigation.

Following the investigation, McFarland was charged with murder in connection with Hall’s death.

McFarland was booked into the Harris County Jail.

The investigation remains ongoing. As with all criminal cases, McFarland is presumed innocent unless proven guilty in court.
