Woman Found Fatally Shot in Houston’s Sunnyside Area

Houston police are investigating the fatal shooting of a woman found at 4800 Briscoe Street in the Sunnyside area about 7 p.m. on Friday (March 8).

The victim, a 46-year-old woman, had left home at about 1 a.m. the previous night to go get some snacks from a convenience store, and she never returned home. Her family then tried to track her phone and were not able to find her until later in the day. They then tracked her down to Briscoe Street, where she was found inside her car. She had suffered at least one gunshot wound, and responding Houston Fire Department paramedics pronounced her deceased at the scene.

HPD patrol officers responded to a person down call at the above location and found the victim unresponsive in the front passenger seat of a parked vehicle on the side of the road. She had suffered at least one gunshot wound and responding Houston Fire Department paramedics pronounced her deceased at the scene.
