Fatal Shooting at Houston Bar Leaves Woman Dead, Man Injured

Houston Police are currently investigating a fatal shooting incident that occurred at Vegas Hookah Bar and Grill located at 11235 Southwest Freeway (South U.S. Highway 59) service road around 1:20 a.m. on Sunday, March 10.

The victim, a 34-year-old woman, was found unresponsive in the parking lot of a bar located at the aforementioned address. She had sustained a gunshot wound and was pronounced dead at the scene.

The victim was later identified as Ruthie McNeese.

A 29-year-old man, also found at the scene, had suffered a gunshot wound and was transported to an area hospital in stable condition.

According to witnesses, a confrontation that began inside the bar escalated into a physical altercation in the parking lot, followed by gunshots. The suspects, described only as two black males, fled the scene after the incident.
