Woman Dies in Motorcycle Crash in Mid West Houston
Houston police reported that a woman critically injured in a crash on Tuesday night has passed away. The incident occurred at around 9 p.m. on April 2nd, at 1900 South Voss Street in Mid West Houston.
The identity of the deceased woman, aged 27, is pending verification by the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences.
The crash involved a white Mercedes-Benz E-Class traveling southbound near the mentioned address. The Mercedes was attempting to turn left toward an apartment complex when it was struck by a blue Suzuki GSX motorcycle traveling northbound on South Voss.
Emergency responders from the Houston Fire Department transported the female motorcyclist to Ben Taub General Hospital in critical condition. Unfortunately, medical professionals pronounced her deceased on Thursday, April 4th.
The driver of the Mercedes, a 43-year-old woman, remained at the scene following the collision. Authorities determined that she was not impaired and she was subsequently questioned and released.
The investigation into the incident is still ongoing.
