Suspect Identified in Car Wash Fatal Stabbing, Currently At-Large

Charges have been filed against Deedward Jefferson, 50, in connection to the fatal stabbing of 29-year-old John Johnson on March 25, 2024.

The incident occurred at 9425 Harwin Drive around 10:15 p.m. Houston Police Department officers responded to a stabbing call at a car wash and found Johnson unresponsive with a possible stab wound. Despite efforts by Houston Fire Department paramedics, Johnson was pronounced dead at the scene.

A witness reported seeing an unknown male suspect stab Johnson before fleeing. Through further investigation, Jefferson was identified as the suspect. He has been charged with murder in the 178th State District Court. As of now, Jefferson remains at large.
