Suspect Arrested in Fatal Shooting Incident at Houston Warehouse Party

Houston police have apprehended a suspect in connection with the fatal shooting of one man and the injuring of another at a warehouse party located at 1100 Providence Street, around 1:40 a.m. on October 14, 2023.

Joseph Rodolfo Rodriguez, aged 21, has been charged with murder in the 488th State District Court.

The deceased victim has been identified as Zayden Kimple, aged 20.

According to reports, HPD patrol officers responded to the shooting incident at the warehouse where a party was underway and discovered that an altercation had ensued between one man and other attendees. The man, allegedly attempting to retrieve stolen property, was shot and succumbed to his injuries while being transported to Ben Taub General Hospital by Houston Fire Department paramedics.

Additionally, a second male, aged 21, was found with gunshot wounds and was also transported to a nearby hospital by paramedics. His injuries were deemed non-life-threatening, and he has since been treated and discharged.

Following an extensive investigation, including witness testimonies and surveillance footage, the authorities identified Rodriguez as the suspect involved in the shooting. He was formally charged on Monday (April 1) and subsequently arrested and booked into the Harris County Jail on Thursday (April 4).
