Arrest Made in Fatal Houston Hit-and-Run: Suspect Charged in Connection with MLK Blvd Crash

Houston Police have apprehended a suspect in connection with a fatal hit-and-run incident that transpired in the 8000 block of Martin Luther King Boulevard at approximately 10 a.m. on Thursday (April 4).

The individual in custody, Ravven Kayon Lewis, aged 32, faces charges of Failure to Stop and Render Aid Involving Death. The identity of the deceased male victim, aged 36, awaits confirmation by the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences.

According to reports, a silver Cadillac SRX, driven by an unidentified female, was heading northbound on Martin Luther King Boulevard and attempted a left turn. In the process, the vehicle collided with a white Dongfang motorcycle being operated by the male victim, who was traveling southbound on the same road. Following the collision, both the driver and passenger of the Cadillac fled the scene on foot.

Emergency responders from the Houston Fire Department pronounced the victim dead upon arrival at the scene.

Subsequently, the suspect, identified as Lewis, voluntarily surrendered herself to Houston Police Department officers at a patrol station, where she provided a statement concerning her involvement in the incident. She was subsequently charged and booked into the Harris County Jail.
