Woman Arrested for Child Assault at Humble Urgent Care Clinic

Deputies from Constable Mark Herman’s Office responded to an Urgent Care Clinic in the 18400 block of W Lake Houston in Humble on November 28, 2023, following an Injury to a Child call.

Upon arrival, 23-year-old Lakesha Ned Babino was detained and identified as the suspect. Babino was found to have 11 open traffic warrants for her arrest.

Further investigation revealed that during the clinic visit, the 7-year-old child appeared nervous and scared. Allegedly, Babino continuously threatened to harm the child if they did not remain still. The situation escalated when Babino reportedly assaulted the child in the right temple with an open hand.

As a result of the incident, Lakesha Ned Babino was arrested and booked into the Harris County Jail for the traffic warrants. Additionally, she is facing charges of Injury to a Child. The bond for her release has been set at $10,000.00.
