Wanted Suspect Charged in Gulfton Street Shooting: Victim Stable, Investigation Underway

Charges have been filed against Solomon Tadesse, 21, in connection with a shooting incident that occurred at 5914 Gulfton Street around 1:55 a.m. on Monday (January 1). Tadesse faces charges of aggravated assault with serious bodily injury in the 351st State District Court and is currently wanted for the crime.

The victim, a 34-year-old man, was shot outside a bar/lounge at the specified address. Houston Police Department (HPD) patrol officers responded to a shooting call and discovered the victim with a gunshot wound. The victim was then transported to an area hospital and is reported to be in stable condition.

Preliminary findings from the investigation indicate that the shooting took place in an alleyway behind the business. The suspect, described as a black male in his early 20s with short black hair and wearing a black hoodie, remains at large.

Further inquiry led to the identification of Solomon Tadesse as the suspect in the case. The Harris County District Attorney’s Office was notified, and Tadesse was subsequently charged for his alleged involvement in the incident.
