Two Arrested in Connection with Capital Murder of Man Found Dead in Castlewood
Two men have been arrested and charged with capital murder in connection with the death of 41-year-old Juan Sanchez, whose body was discovered on September 1, 2024, in the street at the dead-end of Greenranch Drive.
Harris County Sheriff’s Office (HCSO) deputies initially responded to a call about a possible car accident at 13819 Greenranch Drive. A follow-up call reported a male lying unresponsive in the street. Upon arrival, deputies found Sanchez suffering from head trauma. He was transported to Kingwood Medical Hospital, where he was pronounced dead.
Following an extensive investigation by HCSO Homicide Detectives, 24-year-old Christian Fajardo was arrested on Monday, November 18, with assistance from the North Houston Task Force. On Wednesday, November 20, the Harris County Violent Crimes Apprehension Team, supported by the Texas Department of Public Safety, arrested 26-year-old Santos Garcia in Luling, Texas. Both suspects are now in custody at the Harris County Jail.
Detectives interviewed Sanchez’s family and canvassed the area for surveillance footage and witnesses during their investigation. Authorities continue to seek additional information related to the case.
