Three Houston Men Sentenced for Armed Robberies of Jewelry Store and Bank
Three Houston residents have been sentenced to federal prison for armed robberies of commercial businesses, U.S. Attorney Alamdar S. Hamdani announced.
Thaddeaues Malik Williams, 26, Tydreic Deon Sublet, 24, and Andre Palmer-Gilliams, 33, pleaded guilty in late 2023 to the crimes. U.S. District Judge George Hanks sentenced Williams to 199 months, Sublet to 233 months, and Palmer-Gilliams to 210 months in federal prison, followed by three years of supervised release.
On July 1, 2019, the trio, dressed in construction attire, entered Rice Village Diamonds, where they used firearms to steal jewelry from four display cabinets. A Gatorade bottle left at the scene led authorities to identify the suspects.
On August 14, 2019, the men targeted Woodforest National Bank inside Gallery Furniture. Sublet pointed a gun at customers and disarmed a security officer, while Williams ordered tellers to open cash drawers and stole money.
The group fled the bank but crashed their vehicle during a police chase. They attempted to escape on foot but were apprehended. Authorities recovered the stolen money, firearms, and the security guard’s weapon.
The Houston Police Department and the FBI conducted the investigation. Assistant U.S. Attorney Jill Jenkins Stotts prosecuted the case. The three men remain in custody pending transfer to a Bureau of Prisons facility.
