Texas A&M Issues Campus Crime Alert for Sexual Assault at Fowler Hall

College Station, Texas – The Texas A&M University Police Department (UPD) issued a campus crime alert on December 12, 2025, after receiving a report of a sexual assault that occurred at Fowler Hall. The alert was issued in compliance with the federal Jeanne Clery Campus Safety Act (Clery Act).
The incident occurred on Tuesday, December 9, 2025, at approximately 2:30 a.m. The victim met the unknown suspect on a dating app and agreed to meet in person at the victim’s dorm. The victim stated that they had told the suspect prior to the meeting that they were not going to engage in any sexual activity. The sexual assault then occurred when the suspect met the victim.
Suspect Description
The suspect’s identity is currently unknown. The suspect is described as:
- Race/Gender: White male
- Age: Approximately 23 years old
- Height: Approximately 5’1” to 5’5” tall
- Features: Brown hair and brown eyes
- Clothing: Wearing a green quarter-zip jacket and jeans
The identity of the victim remains confidential, and no further information is being released at this time.

The university included a reminder that sexual assault is never the fault of the victim and provided protective measures, including: meeting initial dates in public settings, letting a trusted person know where and with whom one will meet, and seeking help from an advocate or staff member if feeling unsafe.
