Teenager Arrested After Multi-Vehicle Theft Sparks High-Speed Pursuit

On Friday, March 1, 2024, Deputy Morgan from Constable Phil Sandlin’s Office, Precinct 8, was on patrol when he responded to an auto theft call broadcasted on the Houston Police radio channel. The incident took place at the Texas Auto Dealership located at 16200 Hwy 3.

Shortly after receiving the call, Deputy Morgan spotted a Jeep SRT bearing a “Texas Auto” tag, speeding in the 13800 block of the Gulf Freeway. Attempting to pull over the vehicle, Deputy Morgan initiated a traffic stop, leading to a pursuit. Additional units deployed spike strips near Monroe Rd, causing the vehicle to become disabled at the intersection of Berkley St and Kimble St. The driver fled on foot but was apprehended. He was later identified as 18-year-old Adrian Enrique Alarcon.

Upon contacting the owner of Texas Auto, Deputy Morgan obtained video footage showing Alarcon and several others breaking into the dealership. An investigation uncovered that six vehicles had been stolen.

The Harris County District Attorney’s Office was informed and pressed several felony charges against Alarcon, including Burglary of Building, Auto Theft, and Evading Arrest/Detention with Vehicle. Alarcon was taken to the Harris County Joint Processing Center, where his bonds were set at a total of $50,000.
