Autopsy Pending for Deceased Man Found After Hit-and-Run Crash in Houston

Houston Police are currently awaiting autopsy results following the discovery of a deceased man after a crash at 3003 Ella Boulevard on Sunday morning. The identity of the deceased, a 29-year-old male, is pending verification by the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences.

The incident unfolded when HPD patrol officers responded to a suspicious event call at a gas station at the specified address. A gray Chevrolet Equinox, parked at the location, had been struck by another vehicle whose make and model remain unknown. The vehicle responsible for the collision fled the scene immediately after the crash.

Several hours later, officers returned to the same location after receiving reports of a man found unresponsive in the driver’s seat of the parked Equinox. Upon arrival, Houston Fire Department paramedics pronounced the man deceased. The exact cause of his death is pending autopsy results.

Preliminary investigations have revealed that the deceased individual had been reported missing in Harris County. The investigation into the circumstances surrounding his death is ongoing.
