Pedestrian Fatally Struck on North Freeway, Houston Police Investigating

Houston police are currently investigating a fatal crash that occurred at 4500 North Freeway (North Interstate Highway 45) around 1 a.m. on March 4.

The identity of the deceased male is pending verification by the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences. The male, identified as a pedestrian, was observed pacing in the roadway prior to the incident. While in the southbound lanes of the freeway, the male was struck by a vehicle of unknown make or model, and possibly by other vehicles as well. A passing motorist who witnessed the incident contacted 9-1-1.

As of now, there is no known description of the vehicle involved or any suspects.
