Teenager Arrested After Fleeing Suspicious Vehicle in Tomball

Deputies from Constable Mark Herman’s Office responded to reports of a suspicious vehicle in the 19500 block of Shady Bank Drive on February 2, 2024.

Upon arrival, the driver and passenger abandoned the vehicle and attempted to escape on foot. The driverless vehicle, still in gear, collided with a parked car.

A police perimeter was set, leading to the apprehension of the passenger. The individual was identified as a 16-year-old juvenile male with a history of multiple prior arrests for offenses such as Evading Arrest and Unauthorized Use of a Motor Vehicle.

The juvenile was subsequently arrested and booked into the Harris County Juvenile Detention Center. Charges filed against him include Evading Arrest.

The investigation into the incident is ongoing as deputies try to identify and locate the driver that successfully fled the scene.
