Arrest Made at Cadence Bank in Tomball Following Fraudulent Activity

On February 1, 2024, deputies from Constable Mark Herman’s Office swiftly responded to a report at a local bank situated in the 25300 block of Kuykendahl Road. The call was regarding a male suspect attempting to withdraw money using a fictitious driver’s license.

Upon the deputies’ arrival, the suspect, identified as Scott Witt, was promptly detained. Witt, a convicted felon, had allegedly been trying to withdraw cash from an individual’s bank account using a counterfeit Arkansas Driver’s License.

Subsequent investigations revealed Witt’s identity and the nature of the fraudulent activity. Scott Witt was subsequently arrested and booked into the Harris County Jail. He faces charges of Fraudulent Use of Identifying Information and Tampering with a Government Record.

Witt’s bond has been set at $25,000.00, and he will await further legal proceedings in the 248th District Court.
