League City Police Arrest Houston Man for Stolen Vehicle Out of Las Vegas

League City Police Officers arrested a 40-year-old suspect, Jonathon Morgan of Houston, on charges of Unlawful Use of a Motor Vehicle with a $20,000 bond.

The arrest unfolded on Wednesday, January 31, 2024, at around 2:35 p.m. when the League City Police Department received an alert from the Flock Safety system about a stolen vehicle heading Eastbound on W League City Pkwy towards S SH 3. The vehicle, a white Dodge 3500 dually pickup truck, had been reported stolen by the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department on January 30, 2024.

League City Police officers located the stolen Dodge driving Eastbound on E League City Pkwy near Hometown Heroes Park. The driver, later identified as Jonathon Morgan, attempted to evade officers by changing lanes and turning into a parking lot. However, officers conducted a felony stop, safely detaining Morgan and a female passenger.

Confirmation from the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department verified that the Dodge was indeed reported stolen. Morgan was taken into custody and charged with Unlawful Use of a Motor Vehicle, with a bond set at $20,000.

The female passenger, 42-year-old Lantiuska Medina, had multiple warrants for her arrest with the Deer Park Police Department. She was also taken into custody and later transferred to the custody of the Deer Park PD.
