Teen Driver Arrested After Evading Police in Richmond

A 17-year-old driver, Marcus Moore, was arrested by deputies from Constable Mark Herman’s Office after a traffic incident on February 10, 2024.

The incident occurred in the 15500 block of Mason Road in Richmond. Moore allegedly drove past an emergency vehicle at a high speed in a residential area, prompting a deputy to initiate a traffic stop.

Despite the deputy’s attempts to pull him over, Moore refused to stop, leading to a brief pursuit. The pursuit was terminated when the deputy lost sight of Moore’s vehicle.

Following an investigation, deputies located Moore and arrested him. Moore admitted to trying to evade the deputies by accelerating and revving his engine. He has been charged with Evading Arrest in a Motor Vehicle and booked into the Harris County Jail.
